- Supervise and control daily mining operations in the pit area to ensure activities run according to the mine plan.
- Monitor equipment utilization, hauling activities, and material movement to achieve production targets.
- Coordinate with Senior Engineer, Dispatch, and Production teams regarding short-term operational adjustments.
- Ensure proper implementation of mine design, bench height, slope parameters, and hauling road standards.
- Control ore and waste extraction to maintain grade control and minimize dilution.
- Monitor productivity of heavy equipment (excavators, dump trucks, dozers, graders, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with safety (HSE/K3), environmental, and operational procedures in the pit area.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings before shift operations.
- Report daily production performance, equipment status, and operational constraints.
- Supervise manpower in the pit area, including operators and field crews.
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mine Engineering.
- at least 1–3 years of experience in mining operations.
- Basic understanding of open-pit mining operations.
- Knowledge of production control, equipment scheduling, and material movement.
- Basic understanding of mine planning and mining software.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
- Ability to interpret mine maps and production data.
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Willing to be placed in Solomon Islands with a 20:4 roster.
